Change Over Time

Design Problem 1

1. Working in a basic animation program sich as Flash, create a simple element such as a shape, a word, or a silhoette of an object. Develop at least six dofferent ways to make the object appear on screen. All animation consists of change over time. The most obvious form of change consists of an element moving around on the screen–the Road Runner approach. The Road Runner can "walk" on the screen like a character in a play, or it can appear there suddenly as in a cut in a film.

2. Experiment with other modes of change, including shifting the object's scale, color, shape, and transparency. Vary the speed and degree of change to create different kinds of behavior.

3. Create variations that use multiple forms of change simultaneously.
